Zoo Fun

Ellie, Ryker and I set up a zoo in Ellie's bedroom.  It was time for the zoo keepers to feed them.  Why not Fruit Loops?!?!

The Bloomington Zoo & Splash Pad

After we were finished with the Children's Museum we ventured over to the zoo.  I really wasn't very impressed.  It's nothing compared to the St. Louis Zoo!  However, like most kids, mine love animals so they weren't bored (just very tired).

Right next to the zoo is a huge playground and splash pad.  As soon as we got there, Brad went with Ellie to the playground and I took Ryker to the splash pad.  Lets just say it wasn't meant to be.  Ryker wasn't even in the water a minute and slipped (hitting his poor little head).  As I walk toward the playground holding him, I hear a loud scream and cry (knowing it was clearly Ellie).  I hurry over to her and Brad to find out that some little girl bit her on the arm.  Ellie's pretty good with little kids so I went to find out what happened.  Apparently the little girls older sister was watching her and went right up to Ellie for NO REASON, GRABBED HER ARM and BIT DOWN HARD.  The older sister went to get her mom.   Mom came over, grabbed the little girl, and while I'm in mid sentence of talking to her, walks away. Now I was trying to be nice, but that just made me MAD.  I would be apologizing over and over again for my child's actions if either of them did anything like that.  It didn't take long before Ellie's arm was bruised and swollen.  We had to give her Tylenol because it hurt her so bad.  I truly dislike RUDE people!

So a whole five minutes at the playground/splash pad and we were DONE!!!

Never a Dull Moment...

Ryker and Ellie are both great at making us laugh.  Here's Ryker being silly while we are trying to get the laundry done.  Both of their giggles just warm my heart! Thank you GOD for these amazing gifts in my life!

Vet's Office

We had a fun time playing Vet with all of Ellie's stuffed animals.

Meet our patients...
and the doctor.

The waiting room.

The receptionist!

Thanks for choosing Dr. Ellie's Animal Hospital.  Please come back and see us! :)

Children's Museum

Brad and I took the kids to the Children's Museum in Bloomington for the first time (Fall 2013).

Water Exploration

It was neat that they had a rock wall for the little ones.

Ryker's shirt was soaked because he refused to wear an apron in the water exhibit.

They had a special area for children 5 and under.

The kids would love to have one of these at home.  They get to paint a picture, stray it with a water bottle and then use a squeegee to wipe it off.

She was a little disappointed...thinking she was really going to get milk from it's udder.

Tractor Loving Boy

Ryker loved playing with the tractors.

Harvesting the Corn

Ellie weighs 6 gallons of milk.

While the kids were playing in the sand, a LOUD train was next door picking up passengers.

This is the exhibit that Ellie didn't want to leave...Avanti's (SHE'S A SMART GIRL)!

Sure glad he's not working on me!

Giving the patient a shot before she works on them.

The children absolutely loved the museum!
