Decatur Zoo

After we left the Children's Museum we headed to the Decatur Zoo.  Ellie was beyond excited!

A horse ride was perfect to start off the fun.

Ellie wanted nothing to do with touching this snake, but Buddy didn't mind.

She did build up courage to touch a hissing cockroach.  GROSS!  Why in the world would you have out a cockroach for children to touch.  Couldn't you bring out something a little more exciting???

This is where she seriously fell in love!!!  There were several kids, baby goats, that she would have brought home in a heartbeat if we would have let her.  You could just see the happiness in her face.

Baby Goats

She was the perfect little mother.

"I'm sure going to miss that baby goat!"

A red slushy to cool off on a hot August day.

We ended with a  ride and played on the playground for a few minutes while Daddy cooled off the car. 

"Mom, Can we go back there again soon?"  It was the perfect one day trip enjoyed by us all!
I can't wait to take them back!
