St. Louis...Day 2

Day two we ventured to Grant's Farm.  Grant's Farm got it's name from our 18th president, Ulysses Grant, who once farmed part of this land (1850).  It's home to more than 900 animals.  Okay I didn't remember all the details since I haven't blogged in so long so I googled it. :) Once you arrive a train takes you on a little tour.  Below you will see animals that we were able to see from our train ride.

Crazy Ryker

Brooke and Hadley told Ellie all about feeding the goats a bottle so Ellie couldn't wait for this.  Once we got her the bottle we entered into the goat area.  BIG MISTAKE!!! They wouldn't stop jumping on us.  It was NUTS!!! We got out of there as quick as we could and fed them from the fence.  Ellie was in heaven!!!  She is definitely a huge animal lover.
Ryker observing her every move.

Petting the Goats

This was HILAROUS!!! We were already hungry when we arrived so Brad got us a funnel cake.  They had a fan near by that blew the powder off onto Ryker's face. Hehe! :)

Monkeys

Ellie feeding a donkey.

Ellie was too nervous to feed the camel.

Running through the mister.

Ryker loved having the fence at his height.

Chicken Coop

Another trip to the mister.

Back to the Goats

Ryker was excited to get his own bottle this time.

The goat it eating Ellie's skirt. Hehe!
This goat had his head stuck between the bars. Of course Brad and I were trying to help him, but he wanted nothing to do with it.  He finally got himself free.

Watching the Elephant

Breaking the Rules!!!

My Loves!

Train ride back to our car.

Didn't take Ryker long to fall asleep.  We all had a great time and will definitely be going back next year.

Day 2 at the Zoo

Petting the goats at the Zoo

Watching the Penguins

Ryker's first time on a merry-go-round.

Face Painting Fun

Ellie and Daddy watching the sting rays.

Can we take him home?!?!

Ryker fell asleep on me so Daddy and Ellie went to see the giraffes, zebras and lions.  Once they came back, Ellie got a snow cone and we switched.  Daddy took Ryker while Ellie took me on the same tour.

Buddy fell right into the corner of the desk.  Poor little guy!  It did NOT look pretty!

Time to hit the road.

We continued our tradition of staying two nights in St. Louis for a mini family vacation.  Even though it's not far, we had a blast and enjoyed almost every minute of it. :)
